Can Women #Orgasm Through Penetrative #Sex Alone?

FACT

Eighty percent of women cannot orgasm through intercourse alone.

The female orgasm is a tricky beast. Most women find out how to achieve orgasm through masturbation, via either a vibrator or their fingers from a reasonably early age – but this won’t help them when it comes to penetrative sex. The key to a good orgasm is via clitoral stimulation, and that can sometimes be hard to achieve with little to no foreplay.

FACT

One in ten women have never had an orgasm!

For those women that do achieve orgasm through sex, most will require clitoral stimulation via fingers, toys or oral sex first. The length of foreplay time will differ from person to person, but anywhere from five minutes to half an hour of foreplay or more is common.

The positions used during sex can play a big part to the likelihood of an orgasm, and the ones that provide the most friction or allow the women more control can often provide the best results. The ‘missionary position’ is one of the hardest ways in which to achieve female orgasm, but there’s plenty more to try. Try ‘Girl on Top,’ ‘The Coital Alignment Technique,’ ‘Sideways Straddle,’ and ‘The Bridge’ for a better chance at success.

Positions explained and demonstrated here.

Changing position is just one of the things you can try to improve your sex life, but if orgasms are still elusive, there are many more techniques you can try:

The Rampant Rabbit

This is a vibrator with little vibrating ‘ears’ placed either side of the clitoris. There is often a rotating, penetrative dildo attached, which can aid arousal.

A Hitachi Magic Wand

This is much more powerful than an ordinary vibrator and has settings from ‘very light’ to ‘very intense.’ On it’s highest setting, most women find the vibrations a little overwhelming, but play about with the speed dial and you should find something to suit.

Jets of Water

The shower head or any strong jet of water i.e. jacuzzi held upon the clitoris for a certain length of time will often lead to an orgasm. Probably best not to try this is public if it’s your first time!

Fantasy

Reading a sexy, erotic book for a few minutes before the act, or daydreaming about your wildest fantasies coming true as your partner makes love to you can also be a great way to build anticipation and desire.

Lubrication

Plenty of friction is needed upon the clitoris in order to climax, and some lubricant can often be helpful. There are plenty of variants to try – water, silicone and oil-based – so experiment and find out which one works best for you.

Stamina

A good sex session can be the equivalent of jogging for thirty minutes. It’s hard work and can often be physically demanding! You can improve your sex life by keeping fit with three thirty minute exercise sessions a week and a little light gym work. Focus on building up your stamina slowly, so that your steamy sessions last for longer!

Plenty of Foreplay

The trick here is to take your time and play. Tried and tested methods of foreplay can involve finger play and oral sex, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Silk scarves run along the body, feathers, tickling, a little light spanking, blindfolds… the possibilities are endless. Set the scenes with a few candles, play some relaxing music… and see what happens.

If that has you all revved up and ready to go, here are some explosive finger techniques to have fun with!
